Through small sensing stations easily installable in the current urban infrastructure, it is possible to draw indicators on air quality, noise pollution levels, temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity and luminosity.
The system can therefore respond more effectively to the problems of its citizens, improve urban planning and obtain objective data on the quality of life provided. In conjunction with other Citibrain indicators, the Smart Air Quality system is the decision support tool needed to improve the city’s communication with citizens.
